The alternative energy services provider Green City Energy in Munich has evaluated ITS modules as being especially resource and energy saving and has decided to use these modules in their current community solar park.
The main reason for this positive assessment is the production process used by Innotech Solar that not only optimises the solar cells but also has a very small ecological footprint.
With a total investment volume of around EUR 19.4 million and a total output of about 5.6 MWp, the Solarpark Deutschland 2010 is the largest solar fund of Green City Energy. Conceived as a solar umbrella fund, the renewable energy fund has investments in three solar parks at nine sunny sites, mostly in South Germany and East Germany. A total of almost 30,000 modules have been installed, mostly produced by high quality German or European manufacturers. Innotech Solar modules with a total power of about 2.5 MWp have been used for the systems in Mamming, Rogging and Würzburg.
Since the year 2000, Green City Energy has implemented eleven solar parks and placed great emphasis on sustainability when selecting the suppliers for these projects: "The sustainable yield of 6.5 % is not the only important factor for our over 1,300 investors, they also want to make an active contribution to climate protection with their investment. For this reason the Innotech Solar modules fit well into our concept", said Thomas Prudio, Managing Director of Green City Energy GmbH.
Dr. Thomas Hillig, Sales Director Europe at ITS, commented on the cooperation from Innotech Solar's perspective: "It is very important to us that an experienced partner with long term thinking such as Green City Energy has decided to use Innotech Solar products. The quality of the modules plays an important role because the systems also serve as reference sites for future projects."
